On Monday – our first working day – we started out with a walk in the woods with our colleague Nidhi, who showed us plants and berries. There was a light scent of a fire somewhere in the vincinity.

Rubus Ellipticus – Yellow Himalayan Raspberry – grow everywhere here, in the wild, and tastes just like our own Swedish “hallon” – yummy!
We then visited the wood supply with the supply master who helped Joanna sand the first pieces of small wooden cube. Tony went drewling when he saw all the giant pile of exotic wood varieties.

After yet another meal, it was time to start hands-on. As the wood workshop was not yet finished, our working space of the first day became the large marble table out front with the fantastic view and a nice shade. It was probably about 25-28 degrees Celsius in the shade.

With no patience to spare, Tony started setting up a small temporary wood shop in a shady corner of the garden. Doubling as monkey guard as this was their main entry point into the garden –> veggies!
Tony realised that he should have sacrificed even more clothes and instead brought a couple of clamps, but we shall make it work.
Very big butterfly flew by where Joanna was crocheting fishingline.
