Today, Monday, was to be just as hot as the previous days. 42 deg (feels like 46 due to the humidity). The goal was a visit to a tailor and then some art galleries in Defence Colony recommended by Nidhi.
Our view at breakfast: The paroquets or parrots was on their best today. No flying away as soon as someone touched a camera.Today we present the jack fruit tree, with some very impressive fruits.
At the tailors, besides some nice garments, they would really like to sell us a rug (and we really like this one). We’ll see tomorrow…
ATM, time for: find-the-Swedish-word-contest. We had some hard time to find our first gallery, the lady didn’t know, but was very kind. Soon after though, we stumbled on to the first one: Method Art Gallery, where the gallerist had just started to pack down his latest exhibition which was a group show. Luckily for us, most of the works were still up.
This was the nice entry to the gallery which was in the basement of the building. Out walking a few minutes in the heat, and then in to the next gallery: Vaderha Art Gallery which showed a photo exhibition by photographer Vicky Roy, who photographs the less fortunate kids on the streets. There was a lot of photos of skateboarding kids as this was a social project he had followed.
Sweat was running down our foreheads and backs in the heat as we finally found the Shrine Art Gallery, which was some blocks away. There was a really nice woman showing us around and telling us about every artwork.
