May 3

After a couple of days talking about hiking to the nearest town to get some stuff (beer) it suddenly was Saturday, and time to execute for Tony, Ned and Hannelie, about 3km was the estimated distance… The rest of us stayed in Spacehouse and worked.

The stretch into town began with following a trail up on the fringe.

After a while we descended and joined the main road. Ned calculated the amount of payload he could muster in the bag on the way home.

Pine trees can evidently grow on pure rock.

Pedestrian crossing?
Time to get of the main road, 2km to go.
The Indian thistles look much more serious than their Scandi-cousins.

About when we expected to reach town, this outdoor gym appeared. We decided to hang around for a while.

In town, Tony got to focused on the shopping and totally forgot about taking pictures. Hannelie got the brilliant idea that we should take a cab back. It was hot and the walk downhill with empty bags took about 1:30h and we could hear the thunder getting closer.

This is the view to the north of our studio space where we were working during the afternoon.

And now – Action.
In the evening, it started raining and nature seemed happy.
Tony got stuck in the wood shop for a while.
Even here, the only beer available in the shop today, Danish… Well, made in India but tasted just like the ones at home! Drinks were served on the veranda, the party has started!
It cleared a bit and we could se some extra mountains in the distance.
And then there was Irish coffee!
